Andrew will take you on a journey through this ancient land to witness the hefted sheep and explain the farming techniques adding in tales of the history of the land and stories of people and place.
Gillian will explain how her blankets are processed using their own wool and you will be given a sample piece of wool for you to use in the fibre processing.
Depending on the time of year, you will witness all the joys of a working farm.
Travel back to Langholm with your wool and begin the fibre processing with Emma at Creation Mill. You will use the scouring machine to wash the wool, the carding machine to comb it and the felting machine to start creating your own creation.
