What We Offer

We have a Belfast Mini Mill scourer and are able to provide small batch scouring service. We can do up to 4kg per wash and 3 different types of fleece at once.
All fleeces must be skirted before sending.
Price - £10 per kg
If the fleece needs further skirting this will be charged at £25 per hour

Whether we wash your fleece or you send it to us washed we can card your fleeces into batts.
Price - £15 per kg

We can wash, card and felt your fleeces into sheets for you to use.
If you would like to send in fleece already washed and carded, we need it to be carded into batts and not roving, as batts create a more consistent felted sheet. If you do have roving we would need to re card it into batts.
Our FeltLoom is 1.2m wide and we can make the sheets about 4 metres long (after that it gets a bit unruly!)
We can felt to a variety of thicknesses from light and lofty to dense and approx 1.5cm.
Price from washed (or rovings needing to be re-carded) - £20 per kg
Price from batts - £10 per kg

‘Every animal needs to be useful!’
Elizabeth got in contact with us to create felted sheets from her Grey faced Dartmoor sheep so that she could produce boot liners from them.
Last year Elizabeth provided us with washed and carded wool as we didn’`t have our washer or carder but this year we can do all 3 processes in house! Looking forward to receiving the lovely fleeces again to process this year.
