Come and learn different knotting technique for macrame and how to create keyrings using these knots.

Wednesdays 2-3:30pm, starting 24th Sept

From students who’ve never switched on a sewing machine to those who haven’t sewn since school, our friendly sewing classes are a friendly mix of newbie and novice sewers and students wanting to boost their sewing confidence.

Each student has a slightly different starting point, and thanks to our small classes, we can guarantee you plenty of time with the tutor, Anna Watson, so that you can build your skills and your confidence.

You can bring your own sewing machine to use if you have one or you can use one of Creation Mill's sewing machines to practice on.

This block of classes is running over 4 weeks. By the end of the 4 weeks you will be a confident sewing machine user, with a small collection of your creations, you will start with a simple needle case and then move onto a more complex wash bag with zip opening.

24th Sept - Week 1 - Basic sewing machine knowledge

1st Oct - Week 2 - Intro to different seams

8th Oct - Week 3 - Buttonholes

15th Oct - Week 4 - Zips

Looking for something a wee bit different to do with your friends?

Join us at Creation Mill for our first Paint & sip workshop!

In this workshop you will be able to let creativity flow, along with your choice of drink, and design and paint your own tote bag. There will be music, laughter and fun - perfect for a Friday evening!

There will be stencils and ideas to get your ideas started or bring a photo or picture for inspiration.

So grab your friends and BYOB (bring your own beverages) for a fun filled night.

Tote bag, choice of trims and paint included in the cost. Nibbles and soft/hot drinks also included.

Join Emma for a couple of hours of letting off some steam by channelling your annoyance into stitching!

This session can be as sweary as you like or not - totally up to you. There will be a range of stitching patterns to try. All materials are provided along with light refreshments.

We also have some lovely dainty hankies and napkins that you can add your statement too!
