With a different focus every month your young person will enjoy learning a variety of creative crafts with Suzie.
November’s focus is Making Christmas gifts and decorations - choose from decorating a tote bag/ wash or make up bag, printed mug, macrame keychain and lots more options.
Light refreshments are provided - includes all materials.
Giant Christmas Bows
Learn to machine sew a giant bow decoration, perfect for hanging on walls, doors or your Christmas tree! This workshop is suitable for beginners.
All materials and refreshments are provided.
Climate Week: Fashion Reimagined - Film Screening and Discussion
Enjoy a screening of Fashion Reimagined, followed by a discussion about the film. Tea and coffee are provided.
This event is funded by D&G Climate Hub so tickets are free to you, however there is an option to add a donation which will help to fund our community work.

Climate Week: Climate Cafe
Drop-in session with advice and information on all things climate change. Pop in for a cuppa and leave with your questions answered! We’ll also be handing out climate packs with information and materials to take home.
Climate Week: Embroidery mending and decoration Session
Join Emma for a couple of hours of learning how to cover stains, rips and blemishes on your clothing!
There will be a range of stitching patterns to try. All materials are provided along with light refreshments. Please bring with you the garment or garments you wish to mend/decorate.
Climate Week: Transformation Challenge
As part of our Climate Week celebrations, join us for a Sewing Bee inspired transformation challenge! Using a selection of scrap materials, you will be tasked with making a wearable piece of clothing or an accessory in just 5 hours. You’ll have technical support from Anna, but the design is completely up to you.
Climate Week: Mending Monday - Focus on a stitch in time!
Join us during our regular Mending Monday session with a particular focus on learning new stitches. These stitches will be your super power when it comes to mending items of clothing and household textiles - as they say ‘A stitch in time saves nine!’

A morning (or two) of Easter themed textiles for your young person at Canonbie Village Hall

An afternoon of textile crafts for parents and their children to enjoy together! There will be a selection of crafts suitable for ages 3-8 and refreshments, making for a chilled afternoon.
