Tuesdays 1:30-3:00pm, starting 28th April 2026
If you’ve completed our sewing machines for beginners course and are ready to move on, this is the perfect next step! This workshop is suitable for those who can use a sewing machine independently and know how to thread up, change feet and use different machine settings.
Over the 4 weeks, we will go over decorative appliqué, pleats and gathers and you’ll put your existing knowledge of finishing, hemming, seams and buttonholes to the test by making your own cushion cover.
You can bring your own sewing machine to use if you have one or you can use one of Creation Mill's sewing machines to practice on. All materials and refreshments are provided.
28th April - Week 1 - Applique
5th May - Week 2 - Pleats and gathers
12th May - Week 3 - Finishing, hemming and seams
19th May - Week 4 - Buttonholes
There will be homework to complete between sessions in order to finish things off. You can complete this at home or come in to use our machines during Mending Mondays or Welcome Wednesdays.
