£10.00

Title: Spun Stories and Unspun Fates
Performers: Nina Wilms, Freya McCall, Shaneen McGournaghan
Performers Bio: Emerging storytellers Nina Willms, Freya McCall and Sháneen McGurnaghan love to tell stories about women, weaving traditional tales with creative interpretations informed by feminist perspectives.

Description: Underground in the grassy knoll, three spinsters spin both flax and stories. Within the story of Habetrot, a traditional Scottish tale from the Borders, Nina, Freya and Sháneen tell stories of past, present and future. Stories of how women across time and space weave themselves agency and togetherness in a world that tries to confine, overlook and oppress. The stories and songs that come out of the spinsters’ freshly spun threads connect us with each other and with the power of women’s creativity, work, resistance and words.
