Sewing Machines for Beginners - 4 week course

£80.00

Wednesdays 2-3:30pm, starting 13th Aug

From students who’ve never switched on a sewing machine to those who haven’t sewn since school, our friendly sewing classes are a friendly mix of newbie and novice sewers and students wanting to boost their sewing confidence.

Each student has a slightly different starting point, and thanks to our small classes, we can guarantee you plenty of time with the tutor, Anna Watson, so that you can build your skills and your confidence.

You can bring your own sewing machine to use if you have one or you can use one of Creation Mill's sewing machines to practice on.

This block of classes is running over 4 weeks. By the end of the 4 weeks you will be a confident sewing machine user, with a small collection of your creations, you will start with a simple needle case and then move onto a more complex wash bag with zip opening.

13th August - Week 1 - Basic sewing machine knowledge

20th August - Week 2 - Intro to different seams

27th August - Week 3 - Buttonholes

3rd September - Week 4 - Zips
