Our Scrap Store is stocked with reclaimed textiles saved from landfill
Creation Mill CIC was set up to shout about all thing Textiles, from the very beginning; fibre creation, to the very end; reusing, reducing and recycling textile waste. We have weekly for enjoyment workshops and our popular ‘In Stitches’ social session.
Creation Mill has been established as a CIC so that all the surplus and profit made get reinvested back into the community by providing services such as a free after school clubs and funded sessions.
Creation Mill aims to support the future generation of the Textile Industry in and around Langholm. We pledge to provide accessible workshops, short courses and training sessions in all things textiles. We will achieve this by working in partnership with local schools, colleges and the job centre.
Creation Mill CIC always encourages its beneficiaries to look at the fabrics and textiles products around them first before buying new. To inspire this further we have opened a small Scrap Store in our CM office on Glenesk Road, Langholm, DG13 0ES. We source fabrics and materials for all our workshops and classes from our Scrap Store - even designing workshops around using up scraps.
